NEXT MEETING
The October 7th, 2009, 722th SNCA meeting at 10:00 a.m. will be hosted by the Port Neches Fire Department and held at The Pompano Club in Port Neches.
The 721th Sabine Neches Chiefs Association meeting was hereby called to order at 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday September 2nd, 2009 at Big Rich’s and hosted by Motiva.
Cindy Powers gave the invocation.
John Owens led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Self-introductions were made and Jeff Bolton and Darren Martin (Security and Safety Manager for Motiva) welcomed the membership and expressed their sincere appreciation for and long ties with the organization. They also briefly discussed the expansion project currently underway.
The following SNCA Officers were excused; Dale Jackson, Larry McBride and Tod McDowell.

It was noted that invoices for dues went out September 1st.

The President called for a motion to approve the minutes. Brian Schmidt made the motion to approve the Financials and Larry Richard seconded the motion. The motion carried.

NIMS/ICS 300 and 400 classes that were scheduled for September 8, 9 and 10 2009 have been postponed.

Gary Duncan (Director of the Police Academy L.I.T) reported that there will be a “Salute to Real American Heroes” at Wesley United Methodist Church in Beaumont. The event will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 6pm. The church is located at the intersection of Major Drive and Folsom and is free to Police, Fire and Military Personnel.
The 36th Annual East Texas – Beaumont Area Fire Training School is scheduled for September 12-13
Beaumont Police Officers Association 1ST Annual 5K “RUN TO REMEMBER” Saturday, September 19, 2009 (see attachment)
The 2009 Fire Prevention & Family Safety Festival is scheduled for October 10th; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Grounds of the Fire Museum 400 Walnut Downtown Beaumont (see attachment)
The 2009 AHIMT (All Hazards Incident Management Team) Training and Education Conference is coming up November 4-6 in Houston at the Hobby Hilton. This is a national conference and will be rotating to other locations out of state in future years. Therefore this may be the only opportunity some of us have to attend this conference close to home and in our home state for some time.

Need to check expiration dated on certification and we need more participation in our area. All MOUs need to be turned into Jeff Kelley so they can be turned into the State Government.
Working on updated 60th year patch insignia. Well get with vendor to make patch and work on presentation for 60th year as an organization.
Recent emergencies were discussed in the following categories: Industry, Municipal Fire, Law Enforcement,
Cindy Powers gave a presentation on the flu. The PowerPoint Presentation will be e-mailed to the membership.
Lieutenant Michelle McDaniel with the Texas Highway Patrol gave a presentation on re-entry after an evacuation.
